DC Football Warriors: Huge Win, Player Of The Week Nominee, and Another Record Set!

To say this was a big week for the DC Football Warriors is an understatement.  Last Friday, our young men pulled out a huge win — 64-29 — against Miami Valley Christian Academy, with 584 yards of total offense and 9 touchdowns!  Tywon Berry scored 4 TDs, Sam Dimario scored 1 TD, Seth Griswold scored 1 TD, and Shawn VanNoy – who broke another school record this week for MOST CAREER PASSING TOUCHDOWNS – was involved in every TD scored, whether through running it in himself or passing the ball to his teammates.  To top it off, Tywon Berry was once again nominated for TriStateFootball Player of the Week!  Please take a moment to vote for Tywon at http://tristatefootball.com/2017/09/tsf-player-of-the-week-week-4/  .  Congratulations to Shawn, Tywon, and the entire team for fantastic effort and play.  You make us proud!!

Another highlight of the game was our wonderful DC Marching Band who performed for us during half time.  Their peppy music adds so much fun to the atmosphere at the football games!  Thank you, band members and directors, for all of your hard work and preparation for the games. And thanks to all of the fans who came out to support our DC Football Warriors and cheer them on.  What a great crowd!!  Hope to see you this Friday night, 9/22 at home (Harmon Field) beginning at 7:00 p.m. as our young men take on Jefferson.  GO WARRIORS!!
