Semester One Report Cards and Transcripts

Law-School-grades-and-your-career

Dear Students and Parents,

As we reach the end of the first semester for the 2016-2017 school year we want to thank you for your patience as we have transitioned to a new Learning Management System, DC Connect. We hope that you have found the access by computer, phone, or tablet a benefit as you work with your student in his/her courses this year. You may access this site by navigating to http://connect.daytonchristian.com . If you have never logged in previously, please click on the link that says “first time logging in”.

Semester one report cards will be released on January 6th, 2017 by the end of the school day.  It is important to note  important differences you will encounter in your student’s grade reporting this year.  As you know, DCHS transitioned to semester credit for the 2016-2017 and future academic years.  All grades for the semester will be finalized with the credit earned, usually for 0.5 credits.  There will no longer be a final, end of year grade on your report card.

We will also be updating and releasing transcripts by the end of January.   You will notice that the new transcript has a different look than previously released transcripts.   Due to our current status as a semester credit granting institution you will see previous years also listed without a final grade listed.  We are working with the company to work toward having a more customizable transcript that will hopefully be in place in the near future.  Guidance and other members of administration are working diligently to ensure that all historic grades were imported correctly and are accurate. This may cause a slight delay between release of report cards and new transcripts.

If you have any questions concerning this update. Please feel free to email guidance@daytonchristian.com.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
