Students are doing a great job working on their course plans in Naviance. Once your student prints their four year plan by grade level, you will sign the physical paper that is turned in. Your student will sign up for their counseling session. You are welcome to participate in this session but it is not required. At this session the counselor will review and approve the plan or assist in making revisions if necessary. Once this is done you will be able to electronically approve the plan in your Naviance account. You do NOT need to (or be able to) electronically approve the plan until it has been approved by the school. This step takes place after the counseling session in case any changes have to be made. These will be notated in the notes section of the plan.
To approve the plan:
Log into the parent account of Naviance. Click on courses tab, then manage my course plans. You will see that the plan is now awaiting your approval.
Please click on the link to the plan. (Name of Plan) You will then see choices at the top of the page to approve or not approve the plan. Please click approve if you are in agreement with the plan. If you have a concern, please click “I don’t approve this plan” and respond to the counselor with a note of what you feel should be changed.
Once you have approved the plan, when you visit the “Manage Your Plans” page you will see that the plan is now listed with the Status, “Approved”.
Please ensure that your student submits the printed and signed four year plan by Tuesday, March 8th.
