Evin Butler is the son of Tyrone and Sonia Butler. He began attending Dayton Christian in his 7th grade year and has played basketball all 6 of those years for DC. Evin had to endure a challenging senior year with missing 90% of the season due to a broken foot he suffered in his last football game. Even though unable to play, his dedication throughout the season has been beyond impressive. His first opportunity to practice turned heads as he laid it all out there and dominated drills until he could barely move due to soreness. Evin, aka “E-bone”, is a true warrior and excellent example to all the men in the program. Evin’s favorite memories of his basketball experience at DC is winning the Metro Buckeye Conference championship in 8th grade and this year’s team come back from a 24 point first half deficit to beat Middletown Christian 60-49. Evin’s favorite verse is Deuteronomy 31:6 which says “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not forsake you.” Evin plans to attend college in the fall and major in sports management.
