Would you like to get started on your college credits while still in high school? College Credit Plus (CCP) might be a good option for you. If you plan to participate during the 16-17 school year, you must attend the meeting to be held on February 1st at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. The school will provide updated in formation on the CCP program and several local public and private colleges, including Cedarville, Wright State, Ohio Christian, Sinclair, and Miami Middletown, will be in attendance to answer your questions about participation at their institution. Please plan to arrive by 6:45 PM to allow time to sign in prior to the meeting.
Due to Ohio regulations you must attend this session or one held at the CCP college of your choice in order to participate. The student and at least one parent is requested to attend.
Ohio has made some regulation changes to this years CCP program that will impact DCHS students. Students will be granted credit for one course (up to 4 credits) for the whole year. If there are funds available after granting credit to all students then seniors may be granted an addition 1 – 2 courses. If you choose to take more than the granted number of credits you will have to pay out of pocket. This makes it very important to choose the participating university wisely as they charge different fees per credit hour.
Please read this CCP-Overview-3(webversion) linked information packet.
