2016 ScholarshipCONNECT is Now OPEN!
ScholarshipCONNECT is now open! Students are now able to search and apply online for scholarships through ScholarshipCONNECT. Located on the The Dayton Foundation‘s website, ScholarshipCONNECT also provides helpful links to other scholarship and financial aid resources, including a college debt calculator and the Ohio Means Success website. College-bound students will find multiple resources to assist in preparing for college.
To search and apply online, students will need to have:
- An email address
- FAFSA Electronic Student Aid Report – must be in PDF format.
- School transcript – must be in PDF format.
- References – Names and email addresses of the guidance counselors, teachers, employers and/or administrators who will write letters of recommendation.
- Resume – Students will need to upload a resume which includes their extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and employment history. Examples of student resumes are on the Foundation‘s website. (You may also use your Naviance account!)
After completing the application, students will be matched with scholarships for which they may be eligible. Additional application questions may be required for each scholarship. The system allows students to save the application and return to it at a later date.
All applications are due March 13, 2016. No additions or changes to the applications can be made after these deadlines!
Scholarship Filters
When searching for scholarships, try using the “Show Filter” button on the right side of the Welcome page. Students will be able to filter through different lists of scholarships sorted by school, county, or major. Keep in mind, this is not a comprehensive list, but will give students an idea of what is available on Scholarship CONNECT.
Keep in mind, a complete list of scholarships in which the student is eligible to apply will appear after the full application is completed. Once this list generated, the student will need to apply directly to each scholarship and complete the additional questions associated with each scholarship.
Student Video
A short ScholarshipCONNECT video to introduce students to the scholarship process is available on The Dayton Foundation‘s website. The video is a great place for students to start before they begin to work on the application. Also, if you would like someone from the Scholarship Office to visit your school to explain the scholarship process, please contact us to schedule a time.
