The students were given a behind the scenes tour of Union Terminal and learned about the history of the railroad and Cincinnati’s role in transportation. They also visited the History Museum and learned about the history of Cincinnati and how the Queen City became so well known. Our final stop was a local food shop Izzy’s where students got to try their well known rueben sandwiches.
The students were excited to spend their day learning about Cincinnati’s baseball history. We toured the Cincinnati Red’s Hall of Fame Museum and then toured Great American Ball Park. The students got to walk around the warning track and even got to sit in the dugouts. Our final stop for this day was a great Cincinnati food stop Montgomery Inn. It was a first time visit for many of the students and the rib bibs were much needed. We even got to see a former basketball great Oscar Robertson dining in the restaurant.
