Water Warriors are creating a wave.

Fact: The Metro Buckeye Conference is loaded with strong Swimming and Dive teams.  Last year, every school had representation at either the State or District meets, and this year’s squads looks to have representation from every school at the State Meet in February.  Thus was the caliber and quality of the Tri-Meet featuring Troy Christian, Xenia Christian, and your Warriors of Dayton Christian.  The combined Boys and Girls scores revealed just how competitive these three teams are. In 3rd place with a score of 147.50 were the Ambassadors of Xenia Christian, 2nd Place with a score of 165 – DAYTON CHRISTIAN, and winning with a combined score of 167.50 were the Troy Christian Eagles, coached by DC Alumnus, Jim Fulton.2015-12-18 21.02.36

  • Warrior highlights include the girls 200 Medley Relay A & B teams finishing 1st, and 2nd, Brooke Darkow and Kayla Landis finishing 1st & 2nd in the Girls 50 Freestyle, Brooke Darkow with sizzling 1st place time in the 100 Butterfly of 1:10.35, Betsy Lozan and Alyssa Colon finishing 2nd & 3rd in the 100 Freestyle, the girls 200 Freestyle relay with a 1st Pplace finish, Kayla Landis 2nd in the 100 Backstroke, Kaley Pook 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke, and the girls 400 Freestyle Relay completing the evening with a 1st Place finish.  For the guys, the 200 Medley Relay 3rd place finish, Andrew Simmons – 3rd in the 50 Freestyle, Andrew Simmons following up the 50 with a 2nd Place finish in the 100 Freestyle, and the Boys 200 Free Relay with a surpising 2nd Place finish!

Christmas break will find the Water Warriors logging lap after lap in the pool as they prepare for the competitive slate of meets that await them in 2016.  The swim team will be back in action on January 2nd, at the Waynesville Orange and Black Meet @ Wright State University, 11:30am.  We would love to see the stands a wash in Purple and Gold instead of Orange and Black!
