Saturday night’s home game against Cedarville was an exciting one! It was a game of runs by both teams with multiple lead changes throughout the contest. The Warriors fought extremely hard but in the end came up on the wrong end of a 72-71 final score. Despite the defeat the Warriors continued their hot shooting, going 57% from the field and draining 10 three pointers. Senior forward Sam Griswold had the hottest hand making 5 of 6 three point shots and finishing with 19 points to lead the Warriors in scoring. Sophomore guard Matt Welker and senior guard Micah Combs added 15 and 13 points respectively. Senior guard Kelly Turner’s full speed misdirection fast break layup leaving the defender laying on the floor was one of the night’s best highlights. The cheerleaders, fans, and student section did all they could to help cheer on the victory and the boys, while coming up just short, really appreciate the support! Please plan to continue to support the team this weekend with a home game (played at Miami Valley) against Yellow Springs and away at Troy Christian on Saturday.
