High School Scholarships

Scholarships are offered to current high school seniors graduating in the 2015-16 school year and planning on enrolling in Sinclair in the Fall 2016 semester.  High school students can apply for scholarships online using the Sinclair Online Scholarship Application System.  For priority consideration, students must apply during the Priority Application dates of November 1st-December 15th.  Students can also apply during the General Applicaion period of January 1st-February 28th on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application Process

  • Students complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the Priority Deadline of May 5th
  • Students will upload a copy of their unofficial high school transcripts and a letter of recommendation electronically into the scholarship application system

1.) Presidential Scholarship – $3,000 per year

  • Montgomery County resident
  • 3.5 cumulative high school GPA at time of application
  • Scholarship will be applied first toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
  • Requires that a student enroll full-time (12+ hours) in fall and spring semesters
  • Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA
  • It is recommended (not required) that students file a 2016-17 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.ed.gov by the Priority Deadline of May 1st to be considered for additional grant support

2.) Virginia McNeal Trustee Scholarship – $2,000 per year

  • Montgomery County resident
  • 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
  • Scholarship will be applied first toward tuition and fees; any unused funds may be used for books
  • Requires that a student enroll full-time (12+ hours) in fall and spring semesters
  • Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA

3.) Regional Scholarship – $2,000/year

  • Non-Montgomery County resident
  • 3.0 cumulative high school GPA

  • Requires that a student enroll full-time (12+ hours) in fall and spring semesters
  • Renewable for second year based on minimum earned credit of 30 credit hours with 3.0 GPA
